Stick Man is a children's book written by award winning author Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. It was first published in 2008 by Alison Green Books.

What's your story Chorley?
What's your story Chorley? is the annual Festival of Words that takes place in a number of venues across the town centre. Various authors, poets and storytellers all take part.
The Book Bench project aims to encourage children to explore books and the joy of reading as they decide how to decorate their bench.
St John's Primary School in Brinscall have chosen Julia Donaldson's Stick Man as the book for their Book Bench.

Based on the book, the pupils have designed and painted a book bench. The pupils also did research into the book, author and illustrator finding out facts, all of which are included on this Website.
